The frontyard of a house mostly is a place you can not use so some people tend to make it a showroom. A showroom that preferably requires as little maintenance as possible, that reflects as much as possible the “most individual expression of the most individual feelings”.
The front yard is the first impression. It’s the first thing that passersby or visitors see when they look at your house. The frontyard can have a lasting impact on the perception of the house. It’s percieved as a public space, whereas the back yard is a private space.
